Calamus offers four different camping areas. The two main campsites are Homestead Knolls and Nunda Shoals. These two sites have modern camping with restrooms, electricity, boat raps, fish cleaning stations and running water from pump wells. Homestead Knolls seems to be the most popular place to stay with a few extra amenities campers seem to enjoy like an unsupervised swimming beach, a playground for the kids and the most important feature, the showers.
The two primitive campsites are Hanamon Bayou and Valley View Flats. These both are located on the north end of the lake and also offer restrooms and boat docks. The sites also have many fire pits and picnic tables to accommodate tent campers.
If you are planning a trip to visit Calamus Reservoir SRA and might be worried the campsites might be full, you can reserve campsites up to a year in advance. It takes 50% to reserve the modern camp sites at Homestead Knolls and Nunda Shoals. Click here to Reserve your campsite now!
